Island Skin Savvy Sonic Cleansing Brush Review

About a month ago, the lovely team over at Island Skinย sent me their savvy sonic cleansing brush. It is unlike any cleansing brush I have seen before! I have trialled the sonic brush for a month and have put together a little review of what I think ๐Ÿ˜Š

What is it?

Instead of incorporating bristles like other cleansing brushes I’ve seen, this sonic brush is made with medical grade silicone so it is very gentle on the skin. Expanding upon sensitivity, that was one of my major issues with other cleansing brushes, they are just too harsh for my skin. I have previously used the clinique cleansing brush, and found that I could only use that around once a week as it just took to much out of my skin and made it dry.

This sonic brush however, I am glad to say was gentle enough for me to use every other day, and I especially loved using it to take off my makeup. It is great at removing heavy makeup as the brush vibrates at up to 10,000 vibrations a minute. This means it shatters dirt, and removes makeup and oil residue.

The brush itself can be used in multiple ways. To remove makeup, cleanse the bare skin and even to apply skincare. This is one of the ways I found surprisingly useful to use the device. A great aspect is that it can actually heat up with the touch of a button! This is useful because it opens up the pores and allows skincare to reach deeper, benefiting the products you use massively.

The fact that its completely waterproof means you can use it in the shower too, and don’t have to worry about getting it wet.

Final Thoughts

This sonic cleansing brush is a big yes in my eyes. It is suitable for all skin types, even my acne prone sensitive skin (YAY!), and it can be used in so many ways.

It is available to buy HERE

I would love to know if any of you have tried out this product, or if you have a favourite cleansing brush ๐Ÿ˜Š

Take care everyone, see you on the next one,

Max xoxo
