Skincare Saviour: Vichy Mineral 89 Skin Booster

I love skincare, and I am constantly on the lookout for new products that help my skin.

Since discovering Vichy’s Mineral 89 fortifying and plumping daily booster about 3 weeks ago, my skin honestly feels rejuvenated, less dry, and a lot more breakout free. Whats not to love!

What is Vichy 89 Skin Booster?

This is the description of the daily booster from Vichy’s website:

Formula powered by a combination of Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid + 89% Vichy Thermal Mineralizing Water:

  • Hydrates and plumps your skin with moisture
  • Instantly strengthens the skin’s barrier function
  • Acts as a protective shield against Pollution
  • The first step in your skincare regime which leaves skin plump, protected and ready for the next step
  • A fresh, light gel-like texture that absorbs into the complexion immediately, drenching it with moisture
  • A 11 ingredient only formula suitable for sensitive skin

‘Mineral 89 combines our highest concentration of Vichy Thermal Mineralizing Water, along with Hyaluronic acid, to plump and strengthen the skin barrier and protect it from pollution. Our skin is the shield between our body and the external world, protecting it from daily aggressors such as pollution – hence it is essential to keep it strong and resilient. Mineral 89’s breakthrough formula does just that.’

How it helped my skin

I am normally quite skeptical when it comes to skincare serums. A lot of the ones I have tried before, I haven’t really noticed that they made a big difference to my skin. So that’s how I went into trying this serum, with no expectation of what it would do to my skin.

That’s probably why I noticed so much when it made such a huge difference to my skin. I first applied the serum before bed one night, and honestly by morning my skin felt so much less dry, which is a godsend in these cold winter months here in the UK. My skin is sensitive and dry/combination in these months, however I did not get any reaction from this serum and as Vichy mentioned in their information, it is suitable for sensitive skin.

The serum itself is clear and runny, with a gel like consistency. It is to be applied after cleansing and toning but before using moisturiser. It absorbed into my skin so easily, and made it feel instantly plumped. It is not oily on your skin and is very lightweight which means I think it would be quite suitable to use during the summer months, as well as the winter months.

I have been using it morning and night for 3 weeks and I really think my skin texture has improved, and just this weekend I had a lot of compliments about how my skin looked. This is a massive deal for me as I have been known to suffer from a lot of skin problems and blemishes.

I was lucky enough to get sent this from lookfantastic as part of my goody bag when I went up recently to their headquarters, but I can honestly say I will be repurchasing this very soon!

Price and Where can I buy it!?

The glass bottle of product I received was 30ML, however a full size is 50Ml so will last you quite a while. I have been using my 30ML for about 3 weeks morning and night and have well over half left.

The serum costs £25 which I think is well worth it. I have tried many serums over the years with costs of £50 and above, and none have given my skin results like this serum has.

If you are interested to try this out for yourself then there are a number of places you can buy it. If you live in the UK like me then you can purchase the serum from:

Final thoughts

If you skin craves a boost of moisture and hydration, then this serum might well be for you. It’s one that I will continue to use because I see results, and I am hoping it will continue to provide them.

As soon as I find any other skin savours I will be on here, letting you know 😊 If anyone has tried this serum or is interested in trying it, let me know below in the comments.

Take care everyone, see you on the next one,

Max xoxo
