DIY/Homemade green tea and honey face mask (great for small bumps and acne)

Hi Everyone welcome back to my blog 😊 If your new here then welcome! My name is Max and I’m a makeup artist and skincare fanatic!

Today I’m sharing with you a super simple DIY face mask that I have found has helped my skin massively over the years.

I have struggled with my skin for my whole life, and I often find it can be unpredictable and very annoying! However, no matter what it’s doing if I want my skin to soothe and heal, I always use this mask. Its so easy and most importantly cheap to make!

Things you will need:

  1. Green tea bag – I would use a green tea with nothing else added into it. For example, Β  don’t use green tea with mint or lemon, just use pure green tea.
  2. Honey – Again, the purer the honey the better. However, I have done this mask with cheap honeys that I have had lying around and it’s worked well too.

Here is a few reasons why green tea and honey is amazing for your skin:

Green tea:Β Β Acts as an antioxidant and it helps protects your skin from UV rays.Β It’s packed with minerals and it nourishes the skin and fights signs of aeging.

Honey:Β Β Naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention.Β Full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down ageing.Β It is very moisturising and soothing, so it helps create great skin.Β Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easier to unclog.

Step 1: Boil a kettle and make a mug of green tea like you normally would.

Step 2: Drain out all the liquid from the tea bag by using a spoon and push it against the side of the mug.

Step 3: Cut the tea bag open and empty the contents into a small glass jar.

Step 4: Add honey slowly, mixing as you go. You want the consistency to be even, quite thick, not too runny.

Step 5: Once its all mixed up, apply the face mask to your skin – make sure its clean. You can apply the mask to your whole face or just your problem areas, whichever you want!

Step 6: Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water moving your fingers in an exfoliating movement to help open the pores and clean them out.

Step 6: Dry your face with a clean towel and enjoy squeaky clean, great skin.

Summary:

I really hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope this mask helps some of you as much as it has helped me 😊 If you want to see me make the mask and show you how to apply it properly then watch my YouTube video linked below.
