Jeffree Star Cosmetics Nudes Bundle Volume 1 Review

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ˜Š

My name is Max and if you’re new here then welcome to my blog. This is a place where we share our love for makeup together.

Today I am doing a review on the new Jeffree Star Cosmetics Nudes Bundle Volume 1 ๐ŸŽ€

Packaging

First off the bat, as you can see from the featured image at the top of the page, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The lipsticks come in a beautiful box with nude shades all the way down the front. It also has a really lovely satin finish which feels great to touch. In the middle of the box is Jeffree Stars logo which a lot of us have come to know and love ๐Ÿ’•ย There is also a message written on the box that says open here for nudes which I think is a lovely little extra touch of humour.

On the back of the box, we have all of the shade names. In the collection there is Skin Tight, Mannequin, Celebrity Skin, Posh Spice, Rose Matter, Gemini, Leo and Androgyny. That’s a good selection of the nude shades that Jeffree has created.

Now on to the good part. As you open the box, the 8 mini lipsticks are displayed beautifully with all of the shade names underneath.

It is also worth mentioning that this is the first collection that has shown off the new velour liquid lipstick ‘mini’ packaging. I think the smaller-sized containers are stunning. As you can see, the lower half of the vial is clear glass, and the shade names are also written on the bottom of the vials. The top half is Jeffree’s classic pink colour with his logo embelished all the way around.

What I find really handy about the smaller lipstick size is it makes themย perfect for fitting in your handbag or pockets (guys). However, at the moment when I’m not taking them out with me I keep them displayed in the box because I just think they look so pretty in there ๐Ÿ˜„

Cost

Before I go into numbers, I do want to mention that these are technically ‘mini’ velour liquid lipsticks so you are getting less than half the amount of product that is in a normal velour liquid lipstick. However, this collection is a lot, lot cheaper than it would be to purchase eight of the normal sized lipsticks, and I do feel like there is enough product in there to last a long time.

Moving on to where you can purchase these. Depending on where you live in the world, obviously if you live in America then you can purchase them off the Jeffree Star Cosmetics website. I’ll link it below:

Mini Nudes Bundle: Volume 1

If you live in the UK like me, you could purchase them off the same website but talking from experience, importing American makeup can be expensive because of the import tax. Luckily we have a few websites here that stock American makeup including Beauty Bay which is where I purchased this bundle. I’ll link it down below:

As of when I’m posting this review, they are showing of out of stock. However, I’m sure they are getting more stock soon. If you can find them anywhere and are thinking of buying this bundle I would do so soon as it is limited edition.

On to numbers, the bundle retails for ยฃ45 in the UK, which I think considering you get 8 different mini lipsticks, is an absolute steal. On Jeffree’s website, the bundle retails for 52 dollars, so technically after the currency conversion, you are going to be paying a bit more to get the bundle in the UK. However if you want it then it’s well worth paying the extra money.

Shades

There is a really wide range of shades in this collection containing shades with a variety of pink, brown and red tones. I feel like these shades would look really good on a different range of skin tones.

Il post a picture below of all the shades swatched on my arm in the order that they are displayed in the collection.

If you want to see the shades swatched on lips I will post a link of the review I did on my YouTube channel. I swatch all 8 shades and give my opinion on all of them.

Formula

We NEED to take a minute to appreciate this matte formula. I LOVE IT! I have tried out a lot of matte liquid lipsticks over the years and more than often I find the formula quite drying. I have quite dry lips anyway, so it can be difficult to find a formula that doesn’t dry my lips out. This formula feels creamy and stays feeling creamy all day.

I would say it takes 1 to 2 minutes to dry down completely, and there is almost no transfer after it’s dried down. Another thing I love is that you can top up the lipstick if needed throughout the day without it becoming flakey which I find can happen quite a lot with other matte lipsticks *cough* Kylie *cough*.

I know that everyone has different opinions on certain formulas, and everyone is different for what works for them, so if the other matte formulas work well for you then then thats great. I just think its refreshing to find a matte formula that works really well for me.

The doe foot applicator is also nice, and allows for a precise application of the lipstick.

Summary

Pros:

  • Creamy formula
  • Good value for money
  • Wide range of shades
  • Cute packaging
  • Little to no transfer

Cons:

  • Smaller vial size so won’t last as long

As you can probably tell by now, I am a HUGE fan of this bundle. I think it’s great value for money and I love the shade range and formula. I am really hoping that Jeffree brings out another nude bundle because I love love love nude lipsticks ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you want any further opinions on these lipsticks then watch my YouTube review which I posted further up โฌ†๏ธ

I hope you learnt something from this article and I helped make up your mind whether to buy this bundle or not.

See you on the next one,

Max ย xo
